Queens, New York’s own Mel Doro, utilizes his lyrical ability to promote financial literacy, independence and the responsibility that comes with it in the release of his track ‘40/40’. Usually, Hip-Hop fans are used to seeing rappers on the come up boast their funds, even when they don’t have any. However, fans can find the lyrically responsible rapper, Mel Doro, spitting about his viewpoint on money and how he manages it. He paints a clear picture, it’s all fun and games when there is money that is made, spent foolishly, all to return to the same sad feeling of not having any. He also goes on to share key tips and plans that he have, where he takes his finances and uses it for investments to gain more, rather than foolishly spending it for momentary celebrations. The song is a great listen, and also plays into a more important message of financial responsibility. As for Mel Doro, he’s definitely on the right path as a young artist.
