Which female entrepreneur do you know that doesn’t like to escape her business-related thoughts every now and then? Lately, I’ve been into music that makes me feel like I’ve won something huge and astounding. My need to listen to music made for stadiums, sports arenas, and basketball and football players to hit the dougie to. Lil Durk’s “L’s Anthem” is one of those songs I can listen to on repeat all day and it doesn’t throw me off of my game. It’s hook is celebratory, and to be honest with you because of it, I am not in my usual deep, obsessive thoughts when I turn it on. For something that’s just 4 minutes and a second long, it brings me to a place where I can just dance and laugh. It starts off like one of those popular songs in the 80s, and when the beat drops, you’re no longer on a beach in Miami, you’re somewhere on fucking Kenwood on the South Side of Chicago.

Life isn’t always about working (so I’ve learned). It’s about taking the time to enjoy what you’ve learned and earned through that work. Thanks Durk.
