London Grammar’s “Strong” Featured As iTunes ‘Single of the Week’

NPR’s World Café To Broadcast Exclusive Live Performance

London Grammar

In continual support of their stellar debut album “If You Wait,” United Kingdom trio London Grammar is offering the album for one week only at the special price of $6.99. Their powerful single “Strong” is this week’s iTunes ‘Single of the Week’ in the U.S.

“If You Wait” is now certified gold in the UK and has remained in the Top 10 since debuting at #2. Stateside, the album continues to gain momentum with tracks such as “Hey Now,” “Metal & Dust” and “Wasting My Young Years” being featured across several U.S. television series including ABC’s Revenge, CW’s Reign and USA’s Covert Affairs.

In light of their impressive debut, London Grammar was amongst the first wave of bands to be confirmed for next year’s SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Additionally, the trio recently completed their first ever U.S. headline tour, selling out multiple dates including The Troubadour in Los Angeles and Gramercy Theater in New York City.

In other news, NPR’s World Café will broadcast an exclusive live performance by London Grammar on Thursday, November 21. Stateside, fans will be able to tune in and listen from 2pm (Eastern Time). A list of all local stations and times for the upcoming session can be found here. Those outside of North America can connect via the WXPN site here. The NPR performance follows the band’s incredible live session with Seattle’s KEXP, which can be viewed here.

Since introducing itself with near anonymous posts of two songs (“Hey Now” and “Metal & Dust”) late last year, London Grammar quickly captured the interest and, more importantly, the imagination of music fans across the United Kingdom and beyond.

The tracks catapulted the band straight into the spotlight, with music critics and fans eager to see what they did next. The trio released the acclaimed ‘Metal & Dust EP’ in June, secured slots at nearly all of the United Kingdom’s major Summer festivals including Night + Day, Glastonbury, Bestival and Festival Number 6, made their late night television debut on Later with Jools Holland, and are currently out on a sold-out European tour following their very first U.S. headline tour this Fall.
