eikeli47 is one of the latest masked entertainers to infiltrate the music scene with a touch of delicacy, passionate and adoration. Once you hear her music and what she has to say, the lighthearted yet necessary messages are easy to love and learn. Late last year at the Auster launch event, I saw Leikeli47 perform live for the first time. Personally, I thought it was a great experience. Anyone who makes music people can dance to (in a live setting) is a gift, but having the ability to perform it is even greater. When she left the stage, I was happier. Because of my crowd participation and often obnoxious cheering, I think I earned a hug and a thank you from the rising star.
.@Leikeli47 is one of the most amazing, engaging & sweetest artists out there today. When she is in your town, make sure you check her out.

Short and thick in a fur coat, hours earlier, the Brooklyn-bred rapper-producer arrived. She pulled up in an Uber, so what she said during her interview with Peter Rosenberg was the truth. Like most music journalists or avid internet users who frequent entertainment websites, I learned about Leikeli47 when she released “F*** The Summer Up” featuring Biker Boy Pug. According to the interview, she made the beat for JAY Z. She was unsure how to get the instrumental to him, but it just so happens the Brooklyn icon made the track the lead song on his first playlist for TIDAL. He also named the playlist after the song.
Onto masked human beings: If you know me or you were a friend of mine on Myspace, you know how I feel about MF DOOM. I used to listen to him in unhealthy amounts. I tried to buy the limited edition Nike Dunks, but they were sold out in my size–as usual. Then when in Los Angeles, a former boyfriend and I went to Stones Throw’s address on its website. Yeah, I am one of those fans. Looking back, it wasn’t smart. However, I felt good. I feel good now, as I think about it.
But back to Leikeli47, recently she’s been featured on HBO’s Insecure and Pussy Riot’s “Straight Outta Vagina,” also featuring Desi Mo. In an interview with Ebro Darden, she shared that Jimmy Choo used her track for a promotional video. You can watch the visual campaign below.
