London duo lavender provides a breath of fresh air with track ‘peppermint’: Listen

This English two-man army, lavender, consists of Adam Jackson and Oskar Rice. With Oskar’s exceptional production and Adam’s crispy, butter vocals, they are a force to be reckoned with. ‘peppermint’ is an extremely well-put together track. There is more focus on the instrumental of the record, with the vocals looping and riding with the tune rather than carrying it. The harmony contributes to an intoxicating melody that makes you feel like your drunk dancing on a beach in France. They are a self-proclaimed, “melting pot” with influences such as J Dilla, Madlib, KAYTRANDA, Bon Iver, Radiohead and American Football. They would’ve definitely made Dilla take a second look with their unique, enticing sound.
