Let the church (church, uh)
Say amen (Say amen)
Bless the street with this music
I love my fans (I love my fans)
I don’t read the Bible, big books in my pants (big books in my pants)
And I got power, no fifty cents in my hand (no fifty cents in my hand)

Atlantic Records signee Kevo Muney blesses us with a feel-good visual in these testing times, with an assist from Kevin Gates. Nothing touches the soul like a church piano carrying a tune to compliment Kevo’s Southern style. The video starts off with the Memphis artist rapping on a front porch, accompanied by a pianist and his friends. While sporting a chain that looks like it’d give me neck pains, Kevo raps effortlessly while smoking a joint and vibing with his brethren. The visual is nothing but Black joy. From shots of an older tambourine player, to a woman dancing joyously, it’s impossible not to crack a smile. What I love about this video is that it feels familiar.

It feels like Easter Sunday with the fam, when I was fifteen-years-old. It’s a celebration of God and the life we’ve lived.

Kevin Gates chimes in for the second verse and rides the beat with finesse, as he posts up on a steel blue Cadillac. Salute to these two for bringing good energy to the scene. Let the church say amen.
