Kenya’s inflation shows reduced impact on citizens in August

According to the Bureau of Statistics, Kenya’s inflation showed signs of a slow decline in August. Inflation was at a whopping 6.7% year on year in August from 7.3% a month earlier.

While the year-on-year inflation rate fell in July, the country’s situation seems to have been alleviated a little bit as this would be the first time the rates have returned to the government’s preferred band since May 2022 which is set to be at 2.5% – 7.5% in the medium term.
