Kenneth Petty, husband of rapper Nicki Minaj, arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California
Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California. Petty is registered in New York, but as a new resident of California, he hasn’t checked in and as a result, is facing up to ten years (if convicted). Petty’s status comes from a 1995 conviction of first degree attempted rape, for which he served 4 years and is now required to register as a sex offender. Petty has appeared in court and has pleaded ‘not guilty’. He is currently wearing an ankle monitor, with travel restricted to Southern California.
