As another Black artist sees independence from the mainstream label deal structure, whether it is a choice or not, new music continues to hit the market. The latest artist to join the self-reliant bunch is Three 6 Mafia founding member Juicy J. After announcing his liberation, two days ago, the Memphis legend puts out ‘Gah Damn High’ with Wiz Khalifa. Dating back to February, J had a moment where he shared his thoughts about Columbia Records’ alleged mistreatment on Twitter. He worked with the record label for more than twenty years. Reports that follow detail his retraction.
