Knowing the truth is hard to digest didn’t stop Juice WRLD from being open and honest in his music; it’s why coming-of-age fans (and others) will continue to mourn and celebrate the late Chicago-born artist forever.

In a posthumous release, Interscope Records released a new Juice WRLD single called ‘Righteous’. Hear the beautifully-crafted song below. The theme of the song is heartbreaking but necessary in hopes of connecting with others who also deal with anxiety and other mental health issues. Within the lines of the song, the open and candid lyrics mention ‘taking medicine to fix all of the damage’. Next, he speaks to his anxiety, being the size of a planet. He was open about his battles with mental health, which is why we all loved him. He found a way to weave his issues into song, making us feel less isolated and alone because we deal with it too.

If any Juice WRLD fans are reading this, we hope you find solace and peace during this difficult time as you still mourn your favourite artist’s untimely death in quarantine. ‘Righteous’ is the first single released since he passed away in December.
