It’s always refreshing when newcomers enter the scene. There’s something exciting about watching an artist or a collective at their beginning stages, and subsequently being able to track their growth and watch as they reach new heights. Watching and listening to Island Life ENT, you immediately see the room for growth, but you also see that they have something good that can be elevated to great with more experience. JayB, Keem, and G-Live float over a well done, familiar beat (reminds me of something I might hear Tee Grizzley on) and the video is good, just a typical, in the hood, music video. This release is something expected of newcomers and it’s a great formula. The rappers spit with a slight hesitance, which for me, lets me know that they can give more and go even harder. I look forward to checking in when that happens.
