Is this one of Future’s most depressing songs yet?

Mixing color and black and white visuals, Future‘s video for “56 Nights” creates an enjoyable experience. While the performance and crew shots seem to be desaturated, the more personal shots are the ones that needed to be subtly highlighted. Definitely not mixtape-ready cut, “56 Nights,” as described by a YouTube commenter, is one of his, “depressed / introspective tracks”. Ironically, I have to agree in that the lyrics depict the rapper submerging himself into a state of numbness cloaked in a chill, flaunting cockiness that most won’t detect. Check you out, random YouTube commenter.
