It was the last night of PJ Morton’s tour and it was our first time at The Cutting Room. PJ was late but everything worked out the way it needed to. During our time together, Morton shared what’s it like to work with the successful Pop Rock band Maroon 5, marriage as a young man, and signing to Young Money as a solo artist and collaborating with Stevie Wonder (“Only One”) and Lil Wayne (“Lover”). In addition, he shed light on the unfair criticism he’s experienced since signing to the label as a Gospel artist and explains that his label didn’t want to change him at all.

Learn more about PJ Morton’s music taste and which keyboards he thinks is best, working on his next solo album and touring with Maroon 5 in the near future for their simply titled album “V”. He’ll be on the road once again. Can you say: Multitalented and making it work?
