How To Get Rihanna’s Red Carpet Look

As a celebrity makeup artist, Ashley Gomila knows how important it is to be able to achieve a glamorous look without a ton of makeup. Whether you’re just a regular girl or a makeup guru, you probably already know Urban Decay has recently launched their Naked Palette 3 which focuses on “rose neutrals” and features a variety of shimmery, satin, and matte shades in the pinky-nude family.

“I’ve been obsessing on these pinky nude shades ever since Rihanna wore them to the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards,” says Gomila.

Get the look

Below Ashley Gomila provides 7 quick steps to get that look with this palette:

Step 1:

To flawlessly achieve Rihanna’s red carpet look with Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette you will first need to prime your eyelids with Urban Decay Primer Potion in shade Original. Allow the primer to completely dry.

Step 2:

Using the brush provided in the Naked 3 Palette fill in only the crease of your eye with shade Liar.

Step 3:

Blend out that shade using numerous soft windshield wiper motions.

Step 4:

With the tapered side of the brush provided in the palette pack on shade Dust and line your upper eyelid.

Step 5:

Take a small amount of shade Strange and pop that right under your brow bone for a little highlight. This polishes off the look.

Step 6: (Optional)

To recreate Rihanna’s exact look, you will also need to apply a generous amount of Urban Decay’s liner in shade Sabbath to the bottom lid. Don’t forget to slightly flick that color outward as a winged liner.

Step 7:

Generously, apply a black mascara with a focus on the outer lashes. This sultry look can be worn day or night.
