Hotboy Wes, one of Gucci Mane’s new artists, just released the official video for ‘Before the Deal’. As you may assume, the details of the lyrics are in the song’s title. The Waco, Texas native raps about what his life was like, before getting the chance to shine the way he does now. Within the lyrics of the music, he expresses that he’s been through “major pain” and keeps God close, but he wants to make sure that no one thinks they can play with him. It’s apparent as he raps with a seemingly intended murder weapon in hand. Watch the visual below that reminds me of the early Cash Money days, production and cadence wise.
