Happy National Siblings Day

Happy National Siblings Day

In this photo, I was just six years old. We lived in Staten Island at this time. I have many (half) brothers and (half) sisters, but I chose to share this picture because this brother played a huge role in who I am today. In the 1990s, he started collecting music of all genres. In those days, compact discs were very popular. If you were ‘cool’, you had a Discman and you that probably meant you had the latest street tapes blaring from your car speakers. Vividly, I remember reading album booklets from cover to cover in his basement apartment. It’s actually the first time I read “Kayne West”. I didn’t know who he was then, but I felt his pain.

I’ll keep this short… Happy National Siblings Day, big brother!
