A&R Feedback: GYYPS – YY (Drop Til It Pop)

Starting his video for ‘YY (Drop Til It Pop)’ off with a homage to the legendary painter Bob Ross implementing his signature ASMR-style of speech, the Canoga Park, Los Angeles rapper switches over to a heavy-bass Trap record. How’s that for juxtaposition? I wasn’t sure what to expect. Nonetheless, when the beat dropped, I knew what time it was. Some artists are great at writing songs; others are better at recording. When it comes to creativity and concept, I enjoyed the clarity in GYYPS’ message. He has a conviction in his lyrical delivery. We can’t wait to see what he does next.
