The Ghanaian, Ginius, released her latest project in August. “This new project is the ultimate playlist for enjoyment”, says Ginius. She continues to describe her new body of work as a mix of everything we crave as humans; good vibes, success and love. ‘Her Notions Since ‘97’ takes the listener through a percussion and bass-heavy journey, with the path paved with an almost eerie thin vocal performance lubricated by smooth Jazz elements. Half of the production pie on this project was baked by Ginius herself. ‘Consistency’, ‘Melody’, and ‘Real Ones’ were produced by Joker Nharnah, the wizard behind Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ and the last song on the project, ’Secret’, was produced by the project’s sound engineer, Van Boied. The record also features guest verses from talented UK Afro Swing artist, Kvngs, and rising Ghanaian singer, Darkua.
