Continuing where they left off with their monster hit ‘Unforgettable’, French Montana and Swae Lee joined forces again. This round, the pair travelled to the Makoko in Lagos, Nigeria, to make the official video for their newest track, ‘Wish U Well’. ‘Wish U Well’ isn’t nearly as atmospheric nor catchy as their 2017 collaboration, led by the first African-born artist to have a diamond-certified hit.

Its accompanying visual shines a light on the rawness and reality of some people dwelling in Lagos, Nigeria. To give context, Makoko is an informal settlement where thousands live in a community built on stilts. Some homes are along the lagoons; others are on the land. Otherwise, viewers receive several shots of animals (snakes, hyenas, and a goat), local dancers, a heavy-bottomed woman, a local painter and more.
