I’ve always been a fan of Freddie Gibbs as a person but based on what I’m hearing, and watching, I believe there’s something special about this moment with Benny the Butcher. With ease, the two artists become one with The Alchemist-produced ‘Frank Lucas’ beat, which is well-made and autobiographical. I wouldn’t mind hearing a joint project by them.
