Find Motivation In Rihanna’s “American Oxygen”

In front of City Hall, beside an American flag and a strong aid of pictures from the country’s haunting and celebratory past, Rihanna sings about the American oxygen we all breathe as we chase our American dreams. The Barbadian-native singer who came to America to fulfill her own dream continues, “We sweat for a nickel and a dime, turn it into an empire”. With dub sounds and booming drums implemented in a song that seems to be anthemic, we can agree that this is indeed a new America but we have more work to do. Be inspired.
