Mike G – RYD featuring Sahtyre (Submission)

One of our favourite rappers, Sahtyre, teamed up with fellow Californian Mike G for ‘RYD’ or ‘Ruin Your Day’. On what I like to refer to as a ‘sneaky’ instrumental, Sahtyre blesses the beat with his signature raspy beat on the hook and with a verse. The TAKEFLIGHT production is a single from his surprise 4/20 EP entitled, ‘Chase Clouds’. Mike G is one of the original members of Odd Future.

Keenan The First – Repoman (Submission)

If you are looking to hear music inspired by human life, Keenan The First’s latest track ‘Repoman’ should do it for you. It is a haunting reality for anyone who doesn’t own their car.

Feiertag – Run Away featuring Pip Millett (Submission)

In my experience of searching for new music and writing about it, jazzy and soulful vocals never led me in the wrong direction. Most of the time, the ‘adult’ genres provide the world with the classic material we can play in any venue. It’s the case for ‘Run Away’. Stream the Feiertag track below to hear what I’m talking about.

Beta State – Keys to the Castle (Submission)

Protecting your heart is natural. I think we all attempt to do it, so we don’t get hurt again. There isn’t much to say about Beta State. Their single is masterfully done. I hope there’s a music video in the works for ‘Keys to the Castle’.

Noah Carter – Search (Submission)

First of all, I am huge PARTYNEXTDOOR fan. So when I heard Noah Carter, he is what I thought of. He’s certainly his own man. He’s huge on the Danish music scene. In just a week’s time, he accumulated over 500,000 plays for ‘Search’. Personally, I am excited about his new mixtape: 2nd Demo. It is the start of his crossover moment.

Vian Izak – Starlit Summer’s Eve (Submission)

Is it me or does the record sound like it was made for a movie? Before I read about ‘Starlit Summer’s Eve’ those were my thoughts. It has that vibe. Stream the record below to see for yourself.

Bill C Da Don – Birthday Song (Submission)

The ‘Birthday Song’ is a hot weather birthday song for everyone born in the Summer months. Bill C Da Don celebrated a birthday this month. We’d like to wish him a happy birthday. Based on our research, it’s hard to tell where he’s from, but we know he gets around. Check out his new record below.

Felix Cartal – Worry featuring Victoria Zaro (Submission)

No matter what, we shouldn’t let our worries hold us down. We are human, things get tough. Nonetheless, we shouldn’t allow it to take up too much time. Check out the Felix Cartal track below.

Jiggy RiKO – Sweet Dreams (Submission)

Anthemic songs that encourage the listener to chant are the best. ‘Sweet Dreams’ is that record. Stream the energetic track with the hilarious hook below.

TOMMY – Don’t Kill My Vibe (Submission)

Taking on the monumental ‘Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe’ line by Kendrick Lamar, TOMMY creates a weed-themed song with a similar tempo. Listen to the 4/20 release below.

Clyde Kelly – Bands Up featuring Selam (Submission) (Bonus)

Clyde Kelly has submitted music to GRUNGECAKE for some time. I want to believe that he has taken all of the criticism he has received from various people and made ‘Bands Up’. It isn’t the best, but I like signs of progression. Stream the North Carolina musician’s new song featuring Selam.
