As someone who grew up listening to and seeing the Ruff Ryders on television every day, it feels good to hear when the former First Lady of the record label returns with new music. Eve doesn’t release music as often as she once did, but she’s never put a full stop on her musical career. Venturing off to act like Ice Cube, the “pit bull in a skirt” has remained clean and relevant for many years. In 2014 after dating The Gumball 3000 creator for a few years, Eve married British entrepreneur, Maximillion Cooper. Three years later, she became a co-host of the CBS Daytime show, ‘The Talk’, so she’s been busy.
I heard through the grapevine that Eve is working on a new project. If that is the case, it will be a follow-up to her 2013 release, ‘Lip Lock’. In the meantime, check out ‘Reload’ featuring Jamaican artist, Konshens. It is a fun track to add your playlist to play when you’re on your way to the beach this weekend.
