EP Premiere: FLAWD’s “Only Love”

FLAWD and all.

FLAWD

Love breaks us and builds us all at once. A feeling perfectly captured in “Only Love“, the newest EP by French electronic project FLAWD, a follow-up to the duo’s Rift 1, “Only Love” felt familiar but lived in. Florent Mateo’s and Anthony Winzenrieth graceful melodies and LoFi beats are now fighting the revolution they were waiting to start in, “The Castle”. The EP features remixes of the title track by Uniq Horn, Sacha Bernardson, and Loki Starfish, but the real gem is the new track “Crap Noise”, featuring FDBK.

A complexity of layering climbs and drops with the phrase “no one knows,” lightly whispered in the background made me question if I knew anything at all. To feel insignificant but anciently connected to everything, this is the feeling I look for when determining if I like or love an electronic track. Listen to “Only Love” below.
