Enock and Zilla pair up to let the world know that they are here and looking to stay with the delivery of their most recent project. An ode to any smoker with a dream, ‘I Need An Eighth’ is a solid introduction of theirs into the world of music. Further developing a sound that is new to the world but familiar to their ever-growing fan base, the pair vividly paints pictures of hustling, grinding, and chasing a dream. Standout tracks such as ‘Lottery’ and ‘Moments’ double down on the present theme of chasing the ever elusive “come up”. Accompanied by stellar production, and features from affiliates Heph, Maine the Saint, and Samara, the EP truly showcases their potential as future lyricists and forces to be reckoned with in the rap game. With a bright future ahead of them, it will be interesting to see what future holds for these two, and if this project is an indicator of things to come, then it’s safe to say their future is bright.
