Dum Dum Girls’ Unreleased “Coming Down” Video Surfaces

Dum Dum Girls

Dum Dum Girls’ “Coming Down” features frontwoman Dee Dee Penny as she moves throughout Chinatown. Beside her, cars run, workers maneuver crates, and passersby stare into the camera. The black and white footage is eerie, especially as paired with the lilt of Dee Dee’s lyrics. Shot and directed by Sam Macon, “Coming Down” successfully makes audiences uncomfortable, and susceptible, to the song. Dee Dee’s unflinching gaze is perhaps the best part.
