As explained by the artist, ‘More Than I Can Bear’ details mental health struggles and the cry for help. After experiencing tremendous loss in his marriage, Drug faced depression, ideation of suicide, and now, has PTSD. With Asaiah Ziv, the artist hopes to bring more awareness to Black mental health issues and to point fans to donate to Black mental health initiatives. It’s a fitting concept for the South Carolina-born artist. He, Philip Bixby, performs under the name Drug because he wants his music to heal those who listen.
