Paris Love-Child – Don’t Leave It Alone (Submission)
If you’re in the mood for a funky eighties throwback that you can sashay and vogue to, British singer-songwriter Paris Love-Child creates the vibes. The artist submitted music in the past, within a different genre, but I think this is the best style for her as a budding artist looking to break into the industry. Stick with it until it takes you out of obscurity. It did wonders for Azealia Banks.
Hyde Park Brass – House Rules (Submission)
As the big beat sound pushes itself to the one-minute mark, another instrument joins in to ‘soften’ the hardness of ‘House Rules’. Similar to the ‘Coming to America’ soundtrack, Hyde Park Brass shows us what World/Jazz music sounds like in 2019. Give them the ear they need.
Cole Connor – Root (Submission)
With a vocal range that reminds me of Kendrick Lamar, and Jay IDK, Cole Connor shares ‘Root’, a song that details not wanting to have small talk, political views, and more. In it, he says a line about our current President that he knows will have people divided. If you feel strongly about anything, you may want to listen to the smooth South Carolina-based artist’s new song below.
Pieternel – Run No More (Submission)
Ironically, I was told not to run away from someone this week, so this song is making me cringe right now. It is not to say that it is not a beautiful track. It is. Unfortunately, it reminds me of the wasted time with the person that I couldn’t ever get back. There’s a song for everything and everyone.
