This year, in collaboration with Dremo (Davido’s protege), fellow Nigerian rapper Dreylo put out his first track, a heavy-hitting well-produced song called ‘Rappers’. Within the track’s lyrics, he and his collaborator talk about materialism, deception, and discouraging assumptions. The hook says a lot, speaking to the reality of being a singer instead to get booked in Nigeria.

Dreylo plans to release his debut EP called ‘Mixed Feelings’ on July 2; his lead single ‘Talk’ is out now. It features an audio sample that talks about the importance of silence, why we have two lips and a brain to think, and when to use our mouths. Next, within the lines of the song, he describes the characteristics of his gang and how others carry on in Nigerian Pidgin. His gang doesn’t speak too much, so you might enjoy this track if you align with their ideals. Based on what we’ve heard so far, we are looking forward to hearing ‘Mixed Feelings’. If you like what you’ve heard, go ahead and pre-add his extended play.
