“No Boy” features Caribbean recording artist Lexie Lee (Agent Lexie) throwing down her distinctive vocals on the track; contributing to its edgy Moombahton concept.

Can we please talk about this bass line? Donkong, being no stranger to bass music, know just the right amount of boom to throw into this track. The low pitch strumming layered with the rich drum line creates an arrangement that’s both catchy and raw. Looking to get a party started to throw on this track and watch the crowd go crazy. Johnannes and Thomas show us how multifaceted genre blending can be when executed with talent and respect.

In 2017, Bass music has a life of its own. Donkong has been around since its humble beginnings. Coming into a genre such as Bass music, gives Donkong the upper hand on the creativity scale. Bass music is all about blending and creating new sounds. “No Boy” is an example of that creativity.

I admire how they were able to create a marriage of sound (House, Dancehall, and Reggaeton) by melting layers of music. You can dance to it or listen to Agent Lexie spit out some wicked rhymes. Whatever floats your boat, Donkong got you!
