ome time ago, I wrote about DJ Nolita’s live set at Don Pedro in Brooklyn. I had a blast. These days, the talented selector is setting the internet ablaze with her original production, special appearances, exclusive photos for her fans, and more. Aside from her mixes and hosting projects for artists, New York City’s DJ Nolita is exceptionally good at what she does.
If you’re wondering what her six-track project sounds like, I would best describe it as an exploration of worldly (club) sounds. It varies in genre from one track to another; That’s why I enjoy it. Reporters and musicians alike have written about the scarcity of women in music. Especially, on the production end. Based on what I know, there are more women making music than we realize. They just haven’t risen to the top of the pot yet.
Nonetheless, I am happy that Nolita is visible to the public. Therefore, please stream ‘Magnolita’ in full below. We’d appreciate it.
