Last week, Tanzania’s top biller Diamond Platnumz put out the official visual for ‘Yatapita’ with subtitles. In the five-minute video, the Tandale, Dar es Salaam-bred singer promises her the world because she drives him crazy—in a good way. She doesn’t want the Bongo Flava star to give up hope and continue praying for him, as they live in extreme conditions like water in their room and worms crawling on the walls.

In the lyrics, he swears that the people who despise them will respect the couple. Watch the music video with heartfelt messaging below. It tells the story of so many people hoping and praying to make it out of their current situation.

If you’re Haitian, you’ve probably concluded that Diamond Platnumz makes music that reminds you of the music you grew up hearing.
