Detroit collective Indigo Black release first musical offering: The Black Pack

In an attempt to promote several aspiring rappers from the Detroit area, a young man named CrackKillz Da G.O.D. called up some friends to create a free-flowing collective. Together, 2eazy, Maz, Skvnny, Big Bro Lo, Gina, Ooze, Manny Diesel, and Bop are known as Indigo Black. Whilst most of the unmarked songs put together on this 13-track project sound amateur, it is standout competitive tracks like “FFM” and “About Results” that piqued my interest and encouraged me to continue to listen.

Indigo Black's "Black Pack" cover art

Overall, the lyrics of each song seemed to be honest and inspired by everyday life (“HIDD” and “Heavyweights,”) whether the artist was a novice or seasoned. If you’re interested in hearing what motivated individuals from the cold streets of Detroit have to say in 2016, check out “The Black Pack” mixtape presented by Indigo Black. Lastly, if you’re an Aaliyah fan, you might appreciate the use of “If Your Girl Only Knew” on “If…..”
