Designer Spotlight: Ji Oh

Born and raised in the Busan Metropolitan City of South Korea, Ji Oh is a Central Saint Martins and Parsons School of Design-trained designer with an affinity for confidence, subtlety, and simplicity. Words like androgyny and sophistication leap off of critics’ tongues when describing the structured yet delicate items in all of her collections. Enter her latest, Resort 17.

Known for her oversized silhouettes and uncontrived proportions, the designer makes clothing for women who “wouldn’t dress up but is always stylish.” The following characteristics are present in her Resort 17 and Fall 2016 collections. Specifically seen in these pieces: Beige Paddington, Oxford/Gray Hudson/Yellow Hudson, Blue Voltaire/Fur Robertson.

She launched her eponymous line in 2013. Before then, Oh worked as the assistant to a wardrobe stylist was the creative director at Shadow Connected. JI OH is now available at Barney’s, Spring, Intermix, and other retailers around the world.
