Derek Wise’s ‘Purple Candy’ won me over; I’m a sucker

In Hip-Hop, whenever you have a good beat and someone with a beautiful voice like Derek Wise’s, it’s almost impossible to record a miss. The Toronto-based Beethoven just released two infectious records, and “Purple Candy” is one of my personal favourites from his long-awaited ‘Mom’s Basement’ project which has been described as “contagious trap banger”. Hey, they aren’t lying. I can’t wait to hear more. Sincerely, shout out to DRO and Geoff Wood for producing this record, and doing it big.
