“She took my heart” are the words that kick off DeAndre’s latest release from his debut album: Lost in the Details. In the song, the artist details a heartbreak, which makes him want to get his heart back from the woman he loved. Based on the lyrics, the love he describes changed him. He slowed down, knocked him down, and took his heart. Because of it, his friends became his “frenemies”. He stopped answering his friend’s calls; neglecting them. It isn’t crystal clear how they broke up, but it must have been a painful experience.
