Vaughan’s Darrin Baker found inspiration in a previous and current relationship to write his latest release. Hear “Dirty Mirror” below now exclusively on GRUNGECAKE.
Darrin Baker, the young Vaughan City-based recording artist and a longtime supporter of GRUNGECAKE and vice versa, returns today (from a year hiatus) with a song called, “Dirty Mirror”. When I asked the artist what inspired the lyrics of the song, he replied with:
“I was reminiscent of a past love of mine, one of which played a significant role in shaping me to be the man and “lover” I am today for better or worse. She also experiences [it] to this day [through that same reciprocation].”
Baker continued and stated that his new relationship inspires him too. When I asked about his relationship with the producer, he said he doesn’t know him. However, it sounds like they were in the same room—making the track. It could be credited to the newfound focus Baker displays—trying his best not allow worldly things distract him. I think we can all relate. Without further ado, check out his new song entitled, “Dirty Mirror” exclusively through GRUNGECAKE.
