D’Angelo and the Vanguard are nominated for three GRAMMYs

A year later, the Richmond, Virginia-native singer released his debut album titled, ‘Brown Sugar’ which went on to sell over two million copies.

 

D’Angelo fans worldwide are pleased with the news concerning his three GRAMMY nominations this year for ‘Record of the Year’, ‘Best R&B Song’ and ‘Best R&B Album’. The sweet-voiced 90’s heartthrob and his new band—The Vanguard—also announced new tour dates including Europe and Asia. D’Angelo’s first major success came twenty-one years ago when he wrote and produced ‘U Will Know’ for the ‘Jason Lyric’ soundtrack.
