Curtiss King Makes Anthem For “Lightweight” Drinkers

Finally, a song about liquor that I can identify with!

As much as people would like to believe that I am some hardcode party-goer who kicks back 30 rounds of Jack Daniel’s and puff on endless cigars, I just drink water in the club. Anyway, “Lightweight” produced by OhGoshLeotus is a satirical banger that is sure to build momentum once it gets into the right hands. It’s as catchy as the songs telling you to drink until you pass out.

When we asked Curtiss King why he made the song and what it means to him, he replied,

I feel like I made a song in “Lightweight” that is true to my brand: Brutally, almost embarrassingly honest in it’s content, with a sense of humor about a subject matter very taboo by Hip Hop standards. It makes sense for the same artist that makes music about “ratchets still jockin even though he’s feeling bummy with no money in his pockets” or a song like “Fvck Cancer” to create a song about being a lightweight drinker. It’s me, it bleeds my sarcastic sense of humor, and it’s fun with serious undertones linked to the absolute truth in the situation.”
