Watch Alt-Pop duo Command Sisters’ acoustic performance of ‘Rain On My Parade’

“I was friends with the Grim Reaper”

At the beginning of May, Toronto’s Command Sisters released a performance video for their acoustic version of ‘Rain On My Parade’. The song’s lyrics are a sarcastic call for pain and hurt. “Hey, why don’t you rain on my parade? Because I like being disappointed/Why don’t you rain on my parade? Hey, why don’t you fuck me up today/And then try and justify it? Why don’t you rain on my parade?”

Like most artists on the planet, the sisterly duo—Charlotte and Sarah Command—from Canada has been affected by the global pandemic, so it is good to see them out there again—performing their material. Watch the black-and-white below, captured at the taping of The Lost Tapes of the 27 Club.
