Cassie shares stripped-down song about being drunk in love: Hear ‘Hungover’

Back in 2005 when Cassie came on the scene with ‘Me & U’ produced by musical genius Ryan Leslie, the New London, Connecticut-native teen was a fresh face looking to make a name for herself in the music industry. At the time, hardcore East Coast rap was popular. Now, after her eleven-year relationship with Puffy, the singer-songwriter is back with a stripped-down, softer song called, ‘Hungover’ and some other singles ‘Excuses’ and ‘Moments’, which feature a seemingly mature vocal style from her debut hit record.

The acoustic song describes a love that feels fresh, beautiful and hypnotic. You know, it’s that kind of love that has you under a spell, hungover and drunken.

If you didn’t know, now, Cassie is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, Alex Fine. Cassie, we like what you’ve got going on now. Keep going, Miss Ventura.
