A
bout a week ago, Rochesterian rapper and singer and songwriter BVNGS released ‘N/A’, her debut five-track EP. Equally, it showcases the musician’s vocal duality. It has been a long time coming for the new artist. She’s travelled far and wide to complete the tracks you will hear below. I’d like to add that it is well worth the wait. My personal favourites are ‘C.R.E.A.M’ and ‘Cold’. There’s something infectious about that syrupy vocals hook and commanding beat. ‘$WAG’, the third track on the project, seems to be the track to garner most feedback from fans online. Previous to the EP release, the artist shared two official videos from the project (‘C.R.E.A.M’ and ‘$WAG’).
To date, BVNGS is one of the few young artists to marry singing and rapping in the way she does. On a personal note, I’m looking forward to hearing and supporting what’s next. Stream the melodic project with bars now. DJ Nolita hosts the project. She is one of New York City’s rising deejays. In conclusion, the ‘N/A’ EP will be on all streaming services December 28.

BVNGS, born and raised in Rochester, New York, has been making her way into the industry since she was 9-years-old. In 2013, she signed to an independent label which led her to move to New York City. Soon after the contract ended, she changed her name. Next, the recording artist began to develop a unique sound to call her own. It was then she created the critically-acclaimed ‘Crush On You’, a song inspired by the late rapper, Notorious BIG’s voice on Lil Kim’s hit record of the same name. Within a few hours of its release, the demo was shared by hundreds of fans online. Since August of 2015, she has been mastering her debut EP, aptly titled ‘N/A’. Finally, it is out now.
