‘Devil In California’ explains how Burna Boy met the devil, in California.
Afrobeat artist Burna Boy released a new music video for ‘Devil In California’; a track off of his mixtape, ‘Outside’. The visuals feature the artist and members of his entourage hanging out in of Los Angeles. Throughout the song, he references drugs, sex, women and not being able to make decisions.
Furthermore, the video has a combination of feels; vintage, beautiful and dark. Certain portions reveal scenic views of California hills, palm trees, the beach and a woman (potentially a love interest). Other parts show some of the darker sides to the Los Angeles lifestyle. Burna Boy and his crew are seen drinking and smoking in a red room and then roaming the streets of Hollywood Boulevard, at night. These visually darker scenes may represent the lifestyle that surrounds the city and demons that sit on his shoulder.
