Watch Burna Boy and M.anifest’s video for ‘Another Story’ to learn something about Nigeria

To understand Nigeria, you need to appreciate where it came from.

More than a week ago, Nigerian artists Burna Boy and M.anifest released the official video for a song made as an ode to Nigeria called, ‘Another Story’. The powerful visual starts and ends with a history lesson about the African country; it shows the things that seemingly hold the people back and keep them hopeful by way of blindfolds on the students’ faces, and speaks on how the British government paid 865,000 in the 1900s.

Nigeria started off as a business deal for them between a company and a government. Incidentally, the Niger company is still around today. Only it is known by a different name: Unilever, but that’s another story.

Please, watch the thought-provoking video by Clarence Peters below. It’s necessary.
