Burna Boy helps his community in visual for ‘Common Person’

Burna Boy, known for being one of the world’s latest breakout stars from Nigeria, released the official video for his popular album cut ‘Common Person’. From the start, it shows the Port Harcourt-native superstar arriving in Nigeria to hand out gifts to the people. Amid that kind deed, he sees and runs behind an elder woman carrying a bucket on her head. He reaches for the bucket, takes it and carries and takes it to the house, where the family cooks their next meal.

As the fire burns, the ‘Last Last’ singer launches his shirt across the yard and joins in to make the food with them. In the following scene, he is seen pushing a car with several people. It broke down that day, and the man who owned the car had the story to carry back home. Although the family deals with a lot and isn’t well-off, they are common people, remaining in good spirits and choosing to keep smiles on their faces.

Watch the video below as his sister, who also makes music, sings backup. It may be hard to watch without shedding some tears if you’re like me. Try it.
