Today, GRUNGECAKE exclusively premieres Florida-bred rapper Burga’s official unplugged video for his new record titled, ‘Expired’. In a red-lit room, the long-haired artist sings his truth from the first line admitting that he put himself into a situation that he knew wouldn’t be good for his life. And like many of us who are stubborn, headstrong or likes to live life on the wild side, we engage anyway. Unfortunately, his experience didn’t stand the test of time, and the relationship has come to an end. In his verse, he delves deeper into the story and paints the picture vividly.

He cheated on his main girlfriend with a sidepiece, and she started catching feelings for him. But that’s not all, they were expecting a baby, and his girlfriend found out.

When Burga isn’t pouring his heart and soul into every line of his records, he’s thinking about how to connect with his fans, help them through whatever they’re going through, and touring with Moneybagg Yo, who he has on a song called ‘Brand New Drip’. The fan-favourite has amassed over four million views and counting

On his decision to release a deluxe version of his project, he said, “The decision came after the pandemic when we weren’t able to tour and promote the project.”

Watch the passionate performance below taken from the deluxe edition of ‘Permanent Scars’. The first edition featured Burga’s fellow Southern artists Boosie Badazz, Yung Bleu, Derez De’shon, Koly P, and Lil Baby’s artist Rylo.
