This week’s #5NewVideos list consists of Esparo, QUIÑ, BROCKHAMPTON, and more.

Esparo – Ante (Personal)

Esparo, a burgeoning new artist from the Southside of Queens, just released the official video for “Ante.” Incorporating multiple backdrops from his childhood, the recording artist taps our local bodega, a park we frequented as kids, and an alleyway well-known for an action scene in a popular nineties movie, to tell his story. Watch the new video directed by Michael Della Polla below.

QUIÑ – Sticky Situation featuring SYD (Submitted)

Depending on one’s views, a sticky situation could become a compound of issues one would like to disengage. But from the looks of it, QUIÑ isn’t bothered. She seems to be into the ‘balmy’ stickiness of her love life. The track about her doting love interest is a single from her forthcoming album titled, “Dream Girl.” It will be out in September. I’m ready for it.

BROCKHAMPTON – SWAMP (Submitted)

So, there are a few things that are happening here. There are several thoughts about who they look like and what they sound like to me. Then, happiness settles. Subconsciously, I think it has to do with the striped shirt, the cap with the spinner, and their smiles. If you’re into the lighter side of rap culture, you might enjoy what BROCKHAMPTON has to offer. The Los Angeles-based boy band’s sophomore album, Saturation II, is set to come out soon. They will also embark on their first North American tour this year.

Angel – Tongue Song (Submitted)

It was only a matter of time before the ‘Thong Song’ made its way back to the airwaves, again. (I wonder how Sisqo feels right now.) In any event, British singer-songwriter Angel paints the picture of his evenings on a record called the ‘Tongue Song.’ Recently signed to Motown/Capitol, the new artist is bound to shake up the music scene with his forthcoming release.

TRPL BLK & DJ Prince – National Debt (Personal)

Kicking off Q3 with a banging title track, TRPL BLK and DJ Prince share the new black-and-white visual for “National Debt.” Previously, the duo’s LP earned an Album of the Day feature on Bandcamp’s editorial site. Notable journalists and Danny Brown, a fellow musician and friend to the collaborators, have supported the album online. Stream the 12-track effort now.
