Boyfriend, one of our favourite recording artists from Louisiana, just released a new track called ‘Wash That’. Produced by a Los Angeles, California musician, KOIL brings the Southern/N’awlins sound to a usually polished commercial sound. According to the artist, the track celebrates “empowerment found in basic beauty rituals.” The self-proclaimed Rap Cabaret performer will play at Rough Trade on January 24, 2019. If you’re in town and available, support her and her unique brand of theatre-fueled music.
