Best Band Name Goes To Short Skirts, Shares New Video

First of all, the name of this band is great because it makes me laugh every time I read it. Death heat in New York is still playing hooky so wearing a short skirt hasn’t become the norm yet but the hyper-sexual stigmas that are paired with donning an above-the-knee garb is one we all know too well. Pop culture and all of its minions have done a fantastic job at letting us know the weeny notion or sight of goddess knees, thighs and legs are something to worship.

According to this wicked awesome press release I received, Short Skirts are a Trondheim, Norway-based Garage Rock band, who kicks your ear’s ass with 1960’s surf guitars and plans to release their debut album “Family Values”, this year. “Far Side of Mexico” is energy band’s second single, and it is noted as a “homage to simply saying fuck it and leaving a gray existence behind.”

Who writes this stuff?

In all seriousness, emailing me from Norway about a Norwegian band is one of the best things that happened to me since midnight. I love receiving emails and requests from all over the world. It lets me know that I’m just as appreciated as you are for your music, all around the globe. Thank you, and kindly watch the awesome cut-collage vintage video for the “Far Side of Mexico” above by clicking that fine image.

Stay tuned for more new music covered in enthusiasm, ugly shirts and goofy mustaches.
