Ben Simmons done with 76ers, adamant about not reporting to training camp

Former #1 overall pick and all-star Ben Simmons may be through playing for the 76ers. According to sources of ESPN, Ben Simmions will not report for the opening of training camp next week and intends to never play another game for the franchise. Simmons, 25, understands he can be facing multiple types of ramifications as for as potential fines, suspensions, and perhaps, a withholding of salary. It is a huge blow, acknowledging the fact he is owed 33 million dollars this upcoming season.

Determined to never play a game again for the 76ers, and force a trade, Ben Simmons will remain sidelined until the 76ers can find a suitable trade. This puts the 76ers championship aspirations who were in a tough spot, having to find a new home for one of their all-star players.

The Sixers final resort could be to suspend Ben Simmons once the preseason begins for “failing to render services” which could cost Simmons $227,613 for each missed game.
